The Tomorrow War (2021)
Director: Chris McKay (Robot Chicken, The Lego Batman Movie)
Starring: Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, JK Simmons, Sam Richardson, Mary Lynn Rajskub
Music: Lorne Balfe (His Dark Materials, Pennyworth, Mission Impossible Fall Out)
A stunning time-travel, alien invasion summer action movie released straight onto Amazon Prime. The “White Spike” aliens are well realised and the time-travel plot takes a different approach than you would expect.
Arguably the marketing campaign failed to make people aware of the movie outside of the US, but some of the PR initiatives were very creative and created much buzz and anticipation.
