00:45:00 Film Marketing
X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008)
Director: Chris Carter
Writer: by both Carter and Frank Spotnitz
Music By Mark Snow
Stars: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and Mitch Pileggi,
Strapline: To Find The Truth, You Must Believe.
The second X-Files film is a good detective style mystery but features none of the series usual UFO mythology or “monster of the week” story-telling and as a result doesn’t feel like an X-Files film. Plus, the marketing for the film fell well short of what was needed to promote the film against other releases such as the Dark Knight.
Roger and Pascal think about what they would have done if they’d been in charge back in 2008 to create a much more hard hitting and immersive campaign.
