Triangle (2009)
A single mother goes on a boating trip with several friends. When they are forced to abandon their ship, they board a derelict ocean liner, where they become convinced that someone is stalking them. (source: imdb.com)
This is a great film with several mind-scrambling twists and genre-shifts. In fact, the marketing lets it down because the posters and trailer suggest it’s a slasher film on a cruise liner. Whilst that’s what you might think at first the film soon goes off in a scary time paradox direction. Many people will have given Triangle a miss because of the false impression created by the marketing.
The film is based in part on the story of Sisyphus, a figure in Greek mythology.
Written and directed by Christopher Smith (Creep 2004, Severance 2006, Black Death 2010, Detour 2016, Alex Rider TV Series 2020, The Banishing 2021).
Great cast including Melissa George, Liam Hemsworth and Michael Dorman.
